Every child has a first word. Every mother remembers it. We stitch those words by hand, so the little things they say can be worn, held close and kept.
Porqué Pish is a small clothing project inspired by the words, questions and little worlds of childhood. Each piece carries a message from Neem, embroidered by hand onto soft cotton fabrics. Made in small batches using beautiful leftover textiles wherever possible, these clothes are a way of holding on to the things children teach us, one little message at a time.
- Energy never lies
- Breathe in, breathe out
- I'm not small, I'm growing
- Sometimes yes and sometimes yes
- Love never fails
Before words, language and meaning, there are tears, screams, giggles and energy. Early feelings with Neem taught me about communication, and trusting the energy we feel around us.
Know moreA tiny breathing practice that began in my womb, became a nightly ritual that we undertook together to fall asleep.
Know moreA little reminder from Neem that sometimes, in trying to protect our children, we forget to let them grow.
Know moreA little conversation with Neem that made me rethink what a no can mean, and how sometimes, there is room for another yes and many surprises.
Know moreWe all know that when we approach something with love, somehow, we always find a way through.
